After carefully measuring the bike boxes the customs agents in oversized baggage felt it WOULD fit in the x-ray machine. After it got stuck he decided it could not afterall.
Manual inspection followed...which we were prepared for and the bikes disappeared down the chute followed by devout prayers. We will see how they do in Belgrade.
