Sunday May 15, another sunny day with some headwind (or at least that's how it felt to me!), we arrived at Lake Balaton, having enjoyed well marked smooth and safe EV #14 and the K1 trail.
Again poppies lined our paths, and some hills to challenge us.
We accepted an offer to stay with a Warm showers family, "just up the hill"....(note climb at the end of the day)
And it was worth the climb! A lovely family of 4 kids and a bunny. Karmen the mom is a basket weaver (and also an oven maker and potter), and they provided us with a warm and healthy and delicious dinner, great conversation, map reviews and Hungarian wine. Needless to say, we slept well.
