Our day was a mix of gravel and pavement, rutted muddy farm roads and smooth highways, cobblestones and concrete. From fast to slow to wobbly and then smooth.
We found a perfect little picnic place on the Danube And found and requested a reservation online for tonight but upon arrival the (lovely) host Atilla and his wife explained their guest house was full and offered to take us to the other guest house in town. They were not home. So Atilla offered us a room in his other guest house (former hunting lodge) 3 kms out of town. We followed their mini van to the lodge and here we are in a very comfy little room, and he would not accept payment for this. Incredibly generous.
A very good dinner in a little restaurant down the road, (recommended by our host) and when we returned he delivered a gift basket of goodies. Amazingly generous.
Here's to the kindness of strangers.

Such a cool story and such an effort from a complete stranger! Cheers ..
