Thunder rolled up and down the lake, and lightning lit up the tent. We were warm and dry as the sun rose so we rose too. Radar said more rain at 8:30 so we broke camp in record time and hit the EV 14. We got 10k in before it started and found shelter in a bus stop.
Coffee sounds good!
The radar was very accurate and we only had to suffer light showers today.
EV 14 was easy to follow and the paths and roadside trails were well signed (well, lots of signs!), safe and smooth-ish.
And speaking of signs, I was trying to interpret these two signs, rather close together, on the same trail.
Hmmm taller, slimmer man and child NOT allowed, however, chubby folks welcomed. 😉
On the path we saw a small plane and his own small runway. Too cute
Saying goodbye to beautiful Lake Balaton by lunch time.
Good bye Balantonfured, and Balantonakali, and Balantonszemes, and Balantonbereny... You get the idea!
A wonderful lunch near the palace and the final 10k to Heviz for the night.
