Against the wind
We're still cycling against the wind
We're inland now, and still cycling
Against the wind ....
(Sorry Bob Seger)
Wow, we thought coming inland from the coast would mean we would leave that wind at the coast, but NO! We pushed into that wind all day.
Pretty. And windy. Mostly we were in D roads. Lined with flowers, that looked like what we call Queen Anne's lace, and also some roads lines with daisies (Daisy, Daisy give me your answer true...)
Very few paths today as we made our own route towards Nantes. The D roads are quiet and the cars are alert and patient and give plenty of room.
A picnic lunch, hidden from the wind, in a meadow full of yellow flowers.
Our own route meant smaller towns, and very few other cyclists. So lovely sites.
A few portions were bike paths, which took us to a wind farm, and kilometers of vineyards.
Not convinced Mark was having lunch in that field ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat pics - tells a great story. Enjoy your comfy beds.
OMG - I love the poolside art! Glad the room was still available given he did not get the online booking. After two very windy days you definitely deserve a comfy room to sleep in.
ReplyDeleteAnd from yesterday - can I just say those were not shrimp you had a lunch - they were gargantuan!
Keep well. Hugs to both of you!
Jean
Definitely very suspicious what Marc was doing in that field lol, so cool with all that art work , wow. Can't wait to see the Loire thru your eyes.
