Velo route 45, an inland route for us today, with quiet roads, gravel paths, and even some single track dirt portions, which made for some adventurous moments.
(Sometimes the signs are not that helpful 🤣)
Our morning started with beautiful bird songs. (I think she was saying we had slept long enough 😉, after all it was 8am.)
And then some pretty countryside, again we could feel the British influence in the architecture and the gardens.
France has such amazing cycling infrastructure we continue to be amazed how far we can go on bike paths, many fully paved, often paralleling the busier roads. It is such a joy to cycle here.
We found this sign on our route:
And then at the next turn, we came up on a cat 🤣 (who clearly ignored the sign).
We cycled through a small town (ok we cycle through several small towns..) with a cute store and bakery and so we had our favorites for "second breakfast".
And I got to share my pain au chocolat with this cute visitor.
What a pretty house with the thatched roof and beautiful flowers, great beach expanse, and a good looking dinner. Looks like a great day! You guys are getting some pretty good mileage in each day too - no wonder you are tired!
ReplyDeleteJust catching up with your trip - you guys have really got this down!! OMG that bridge yesterday - that picture was terrifying! Glad it ended up going smoothly and that there was a bike path.
ReplyDeleteI can see why you like biking in France - lots of amazing bike paths and beautiful towns and countryside. Now if only the signs were a bit more helpful! Stay safe.
Well I did get up and we took Luna for a walk and I mowed the lawn- almost the same experience!😂 great pics and looks like you are the only ones out there.
