Day 32 - Chambord to Cherries

Just another day in Loire Valley paradise today.

Great paths, sunny and a breeze, chateaus and the river, complete with swans and herons, boaters and fishermen.

Our first glimpse of the river, and the lovely bridge in the distance.

And then crossing that bridge (which was a little unnerving). It was just wide enough, but still it took a lot of self talk to remain calm and straight.

And then I followed Marc on the path, like I always do, but today I experimented with photos from the Quad Lock right on my handlebar 😀.

Not always a lovely old village of stone walls and roses... But we do need power.

Sometimes the path has some obstacles, Marc got a little unexpected shower today ☔ 🤣

Love these signs. I guess cars and people and bikes are all to go 20 km. Let's go!

We then went into a little town to the market.

COPS! Act normal 😜

 Market day.

We loaded up on provisions and kept the kilometers rolling. A brief pique nique and then we came to the Cherry region of Orleans.

Cherry trees!!

A handful of cherries and then we left, honest.

A stop for groceries and a bike wash. Such a treat after a dusty day on some gravel trails.

We found our campground.

They have a special section for cyclists. When I took the photo there were 10 tents, now there are 12 and counting.

Two more days on the Loire ahead of us.

About 1,700 kms behind us, and 2 weeks and about 500 more kms ahead of us to Lyon.

Thanks for coming along for the ride, and thanks for the comments.
