Day 30 - from Amboise to Luxury

Did I mention the chateaus? We said goodbye to Amboise, and climbed out of there.

We had a few hills to climb today. A nice change, honestly. Other than the steep grade and the hot sun.

The beautiful French countryside continues to inspire and delight. I just can't get enough of the poppies, everywhere, like dandelions at home (but prettier, sorry). And the roses! Climbing so high they are at some rooftops.

Smaller villages today, and a little harder to find breakfast #2, but no worries, we diverted from the route and found an epicier. Whew.

We stayed on the south side of the river and admired Bloise across to the north. Quite an impressive town, and the chateau and cathedral, and a couple of lovely bridges.

Crazy beautiful, right?

One tire issue for Marc, a slow leak in the front. Another excuse to visit a Decathlon soon.

Hot and sunny. It hit 30 degrees as we turned south of the river toward Chambord.

We are staying in a lovely hotel tonight. Such a treat. Relaxed, showered, and dinner at the restaurant. Feeling less like an adventure and more like a vacation today. Spoiled.

Tomorrow we explore Chambord.

Stats and thanks for reading!
