Day 16 - Tourists in Natchez

So much history here on the shores of the mighty Mississippi River.

Gorgeous historical homes and preserved buildings and businesses.

We took the full tour of Rosalie Mansion, trying to put all the invaders in the right sequence - Spanish, French, English and then Yankees...

And the "under-the-hill" neighborhood has its own history, only this one small road left standing, the rest swept away by the Mississippi. And the oldest Saloon in America, where Mark Twain would sit and write.

This little town is ready for Christmas (but it is not even Thanksgiving yet 😳) but the green trees and flowers make it feel like winter is not here just yet.

Some time was devoted to ensuring our final leg of the trip is successful, tomorrow we continue south to Baton Rouge.

Good night Ol' Man River, and cheers to you Natchez!
