Mont Ste Anne Day 3

A little dusting of snow and then some lovely sunshine today.  The view from our place was a happy view this morning, looking out to the St Lawrence (south).  I love a kitchen with a window over the sink. Makes doing dishes so much nicer.

The car needed a brush off, but it wasn't too cold or icy. Just -5

Day 3 can be tough. The legs are pretty tired. So I set out on a pretty trail, shorter but with some very nice views, and a section in the open, along the power lines, making for a nice view of Mont Ferreol.

It was so nice, I did it twice!

The light dusting of snow makes every tree extra pretty. I can't help but stop and say hello to these wee trees reaching out from the base of snow.

Quiet trails, not much wildlife but evidence ...

We never understand why more people don't choose this sport. It is so incredibly beautiful on the trails, the equipment is comfortable and not expensive, and the exercise provides both body and soul rejuvenation. Not to mention how environmentally neutral it is.

Back to our little air BNB for a shower and rest, good food (Steak + frites tonight), and a few hours of work. Now that's work life balance!  We know, we are lucky.

And yes, it is on Strava, so yes, it happened 😉

  1. Sounds like a wonderful few days. “Learn to cross country ski” has been added to my retirement to do list!
