It rained last night. Quite a lot. There was a brief break at about 6:45 am, I dashed from the tent and picked up our bread order.
But before I got back to the tent it was pouring again. 😟
Rain is a bummer in the morning when you camp. Makes breakfast and packing up much less fun.
But then came a voice outside our tent. Our neighbor was there, asking if we wanted coffee or tea. Camping Angels exist! There they are:
She asked us for our cups. Our empty cold camping mugs were handed over, and voila, they came back full of hot coffee and tea! And with our fresh bread, breakfast was served! Not that that wasn't enough to make our day, but then, the sun came out. So we enjoyed our breakfast OUTSIDE and enjoyed the amazing view.

And then we packed up and said goodbye to our second last night of camping in Germany. A quick stop at the local grocer for lunch supplies.
And then we were off, following our Ride with GPS route, which has been amazing. In these towns, where the bike path crosses a driveway or road, the whole thing is painted RED. Great for cyclists and drivers. Love it While the Alps continued to fade into foothills, the views were still stunning and the bike paths were fantastic, fully paved paths alongside roads and through woods and fields.
Very cute little villages all along the way. Only a few kilometers apart.
Open roads with very little traffic.
And the small towns are close. Each one we leave the signs tell you where the next town is (not far)
Tomorrow. Munich. Hard to believe.

We arrive at Kaiser Camping and enjoy a swim in a cold outside pool, and a warm shower. And happy hour. Of course.
Cheers to Nik and Sienna's birthday today!!
It is a very pretty place here on our evening walk, and quick cycle into the village pizzeria for salad and pasta.
Our last night of camping in a very big Campground where some of the trailers are so permanent they have their own gardens and landscaping.
Camping angels are the best! Peddle on.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to a ride like this with Glenn again.
