Spring Training 4 - Rain and Repairs

We headed for Hardtimes Trailhead, and actually found some hard times.

I had some more bike issues, but no bumps or bruises this time. We just walked back to the car and headed for REI. (Honestly, it wasn't my master plan to get Marc into REI, but, it is my happy place!).

We chatted with Jonathan about parts and routes, and he sent us to Liberty Bikes. Where we chatted with Jake about parts and routes. He was super nice and called the Asheville Bicycle Company (ABC) for us, and they had the parts we needed. So we headed for ABC to meet Arlow, and chatted about parts and routes, but mostly parts - that's what we needed.

The Asheville Bicycle Company specializes in KONA bikes. That's my bike!

So we found just what we needed, and avoided a rainy day in the woods!

We'll call it a rest day, enjoy some NCAA March Madness and figure out a great route for tomorrow.

More driving than cycling today. That's just how it goes some days.

  1. I am very happy no bumps or bruises this time for you, some days you just have to roll with the pushes. Being flexible is the name of the came in your adventures . You do it very well!!!!

  3. Well, they do say in a spiritual way that you ought to "watch for the signs". I think this is how it works: when you see a big board that says "Hardtimes Trailhead" in really big letters, I think that's a sign (both literally and figuratively). :) Glad you made the most of a mechanical/rainy day.
